Privacy

A thoughtful stay
starts with trust.

This policy explains what information may be collected when you visit our website, make an inquiry or book a stay directly with Moonlight Mountain House.

Effective August 23, 2026

Information we collect

When you browse the website, we may receive standard technical information such as your device type, browser, approximate location, referring page, pages viewed and interactions with the site. If you submit an inquiry or begin or complete a direct booking, you may provide information such as your name, email address, telephone number, mailing address, stay dates, guest count, messages and other reservation details.

Bookings and payments

Our direct-booking experience is powered by OwnerRez. Information you enter into the booking or inquiry forms is processed through OwnerRez in order to prepare quotes, manage reservations, communicate with guests and administer the stay. Card payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not receive or store your complete payment-card number on this website.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use the website, including page views, general traffic sources and interactions with the direct-booking journey. Google Analytics and embedded booking tools may use cookies or similar technologies to provide these functions. You can limit cookies through your browser settings, although doing so may affect some website or booking features.

How we use information

We use information to respond to inquiries, provide quotes, process and manage reservations, collect payments, prepare for guest stays, provide customer service, maintain the security and operation of the website, understand website performance and comply with legal, accounting or regulatory obligations.

When information is shared

We may share information with service providers that help operate the website and reservation process, including OwnerRez, Stripe, Google Analytics, website-hosting providers and vendors who assist with the administration of a guest stay when reasonably necessary. These providers process information according to their own terms and privacy practices. We may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect guests, the property, our rights or the rights of others.

Other booking platforms and links

The website may contain links to third-party services or listing platforms. If you choose to visit or book through another platform, that service's privacy policy and terms govern the information you provide there.

Data retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for reservations, guest service, recordkeeping, tax and legal obligations, dispute resolution and legitimate business purposes. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Your choices and rights

You may contact us to ask about personal information associated with a direct inquiry or booking, or to request correction or deletion where applicable. Certain reservation, financial or legal records may need to be retained. Depending on where you live, additional privacy rights may apply under local law.

Children

The website and direct-booking process are intended for adults arranging accommodations. We do not knowingly solicit personal information directly from children through the website.
